Greenwood Pellets was established in 2009 after a 2 year extensive market research programme and they now produce 32,000 tonnes of wood pellets annually. The main concept of the pellet plant was to produce renewable wood energy pellets from sawmilling residues primarily in the form of sawdust and boiler fuel from their own sawmilling operation.

State of the art machinery has been installed to produce the highest quality 6mm wood pellet. A purpose built facility has been constructed to enable efficient manufacturing and storage operations. The facility and the wood pellets have both successfully been awarded the EN Plus A1 quality certification and are one of the leaders in wood pellet fuel in Ireland for both commercial and domestic home heating fuels.
