HURLING
The under-16 hurlers were defeated by Mullinavat in a high scoring game in the quarter-final of the Duggan Steel Roinn C championship in Jenkinstown on Saturday morning last. Mullinavat led by 2-14 to 1-8 at the half way mark. The young Conahy team gave a great battling performance, but their opponents were able to get key scores when it mattered most to win out by 5-19 to 3-15. The Conahy goals were scored by Jack Buggy, Mounir Zouaoui and M.J. Buggy. Hard luck to all involved, and many thanks to the coaching team of Brian Buggy, Andy McDonald, Paul Horgan, Bobby Gamble and Brian Maher.

The junior hurlers take on John Lockes in the JJ Kavanagh Premier Junior Championship semi-final in UPMC Nowlan Park on Saturday afternoon at 4.00 p.m. The winner will face O’Loughlin Gaels or Graignamanagh in the county final. At the time of writing, the minor hurlers are also in action this coming weekend when they face Lisdowney in the Kilkenny Vehicle Centre Roinn B quarter-final on Sunday afternoon at 4.30 p.m. in Lisdowney. Best of luck to both teams in their respective matches this weekend.
CAMOGIE
The junior D camogie girls travelled away to Gowran to play Young Irelands in the third round of the Junior D Cup Championship. Conahy fought hard, with Eva Kennedy particularly impressive at centre-back, but the home side scored the only goals of the game, which were the key scores. Young Irelands were the winners in the end, winning by 2-7 to 0-8.
